Rolland was born September 11, 1926, to Everett and Bertha Willard at Rapid City, SD. Rolland graduated from Rapid City High School in 1946. He was drafted into the Army in 1954 and discharged in 1956. In 1954, he married Laura Price and they had 3 children. Rolland worked his entire life in HVAC. Rolland enjoyed fishing, haying, and tending his cattle.

Rolland William Willard, 91, of Rapid City, passed away peacefully at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade, February 11, 2018.

Rolland is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laura, son, William, daughter, Lillian (Gene) Kienzle, son, Kenneth (Linda), all of Rapid City; five grandchildren, Jeff (Kim) Olson, Arizona, Jamie (Karin) Kienzle and Shelly Kienzle, both Rapid City, Mike (Becky) Willard, Sturgis, and Melissa (Chris) Spielmann, Sioux Falls; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Big Bend Presbyterian Church in Rapid City with Pastor Bob Savot officiating.
