IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Richard
Suchanuk
September 30, 1941 – March 14, 2017
Ron was born September 30, 1941, to Richard and Stella (Winarski) Suchanuk in East Chicago, Indiana.
He attended high school at East Chicago Washington High and Morton High in Hammond Indiana. He joined the United States Army in 1959, where he honorably served for four years. His service took him to tours in Korea and Thailand. Once out of the service, he started his 30 year career with American Steel Foundries Indiana Harbor Works and also met his wife of 50 years Rudene Kaiser.
Ron and Rudene relocated to the Black Hills after falling in love with the area while visiting their daughter and her family who were stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. Ron enjoyed spending time in Deadwood with his wife and watching his grandsons sporting events. He was so proud of his four grandsons and his two great granddaughters. He enjoyed looking for "finds". No discarded or lost coin would be passed up. He had a heart of gold and a love of animals that was passed on to all of his descendants.
