IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rory James
Hise
January 8, 1958 – June 20, 2017
Rory James Hise was born to Shirley and Leonard Hise on January 8, 1958, in Benton City, WA. His first four years were spent in Benton City until the family moved to Belle Fourche and then Fruitdale. The family then moved to Sturgis where he attended grade school and high school.
Rory was very adventurous in his younger years. He wrestled in high school and won many ribbons. He also loved moto cross racing.
Rory enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and loved being on a ranch or farm where he could tend to the animals. He especially enjoyed riding horses.
Rory worked many jobs in his later years which included working at Skelly's truck stop, painting houses, construction, and roofing work until his health issues caused his disability. He suffered a lot in his last year of life physically, mentally, and spiritually. Rory was looking for his place in life and what God's plan was for him. Seeking his spirituality meant a lot to him. Rory quite often read his bible and reflected on passages that fit his life.
His seeking came to an end June 20, 2017, when his Heavenly Father called him home.
