Rose M. Jones, 72, of Deadwood, South Dakota, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at her home in Deadwood.

Rose was born in Deadwood St. Joseph Hospital on April 4, 1950, to Alfred R and Margaret B. Marsh. Rose attended Lead High School, graduating in 1968. She married Edward D. Jones at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deadwood on August 17, 1976. To this union four children were born: Tobey Alfred Cass Jones (Stacey Cass) of Custer, SD, Tracey M. Jones, Eddie W. Jones, and Genney Z. Jones, all of Deadwood. She had four granddaughters: Hannah Joe, Jayme, Alley, and Bailey.

Rose had a brother, Bill Marsh, Spearfish, SD; sister, Catherine Sandy, Sturgis, SD; cousin, Paul Beshara, Rapid City, SD; and best friend, Terry Baldwin, Deadwood. Rose also had beloved pets, Shenna and Dolly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and husband.

Rose was cremated and burial will be at a later date.
