Ryan David Odson, 38, Box Elder, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at his home in Box Elder.

Memorial services will be Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Tesnow officiating. A private family inurnment will follow.

Ryan was born Jan. 22, 1968, at Deadwood to Dan and Kathy (Drew) Odson. He grew up in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis High School in 1986. He then graduated from Western Dakota Votech and lived in Box Elder. He was a security guard for SCI and a customer service representative for Premier Bankcard. Ryan's sister, Shannon, shared the gift of life with him by donating a kidney in 2005.

He enjoyed animals, especially Rottweilers and Daschunds. "Kota" a favorite Rottweiler, passed away the same day as Ryan. Ryan also loved fast cars and Star Wars.

Ryan is survived by Amanda Whitney of Box Elder; mother, Kathy Farrar, Belle Fourche; three sisters, Shannon Schneider, Whitewood; Julie Fischer, Spearfish; Sherri Fischer, Belle Fourche; three brothers, Tim Odson of Gillette, Wyo., Todd Odson of Belle Fourche, Dennis Cass of Whitewood; a step-brother, Rick Farrar of Belle Fourche; and Grandmother, Edna Odson of Belle Fourche. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Ryan was preceded in death by his father, a baby brother and a baby niece.

A memorial has been established to the Porter Hospital Transplant Fund in Denver.
