IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Serola Sue
"Sammi" Davis
November 28, 1941 – November 12, 2015
Sammi was born November 28, 1941, in Belle Fourche, SD, to Truman and Margaret (Hardy) Plattner. She was raised in Belle Fourche and graduated from Belle Fourche High School.
Sammi married the love of her life, Doug Davis, on October 29, 1960. They lived in Belle Fourche and were blessed with two daughters, Robyn and Rozelle.
After Doug was tragically taken from her, she started working as a bartender and tended bar for 25 years. Sammi worked other jobs, but bartending was her favorite because she got to meet so many people.
Sammi enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, reading mysteries, and watching her favorite TV show, NCIS. She was an avid football fan and a die-hard Raiders fan, but watched all the games. She also loved the Clydesdale horses.
Sammi was a fiery redhead that everyone thought was a "pistol." But, everyone that knew her thought she was a "double-barreled 12-gauge shotgun."
Serola S. "Sammi" Davis, 73, Gillette, WY, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Hospice of Campbell County in Gillette.
She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Davis, Gillette, WY, and Rozelle Davis, Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren she called her little people, Tara (Karl) Lefever, Tyler Norskog, Robby (Nicole) Green, and Reesa Green; four great-grandchildren she called the wee ones; and her main man and special cat, Raider.
