Shana Rae Harrison, 47, of Sturgis, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital of heart failure after a long battle with diabetes.

Shana was born December 5, 1963 to Herman and Della (Zimmerman) Sukut in Aberdeen, SD. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School. She married Douglas Harrison on Jan 2, 1988. At the time of her death, Shana had been employed with Sturgis Regional Hospital and Senior Care Center for 11 years in Environmental Services.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Harrison, Sturgis; two sons, Ryan and Rilley Harrison, Sturgis; her mother Della (Duane) Mullner, Aberdeen, SD; three sisters, Sandy (Brian) Kerl, their son Matt, Bonner Springs, KS, Rhonda (Tim) Zebroski, their children, Heather and Derrick, Aberdeen, SD, Kristi (Gregg) Allison, their children Chris and Nathan, Sioux Falls, SD; stepsister Tammie (Jerry) Bludorn, their children, Elizabeth, Conner, Jaclyn and Jami, Webster, SD; Doug's family; parents Jim and Rita Harrison, Sturgis; sisters-in-law, Debbie Harrison, Moorcroft, WY, Robin (Jed) Korth, Sturgis; brothers-in-law, Shawn (Carla) Harrison, Sturgis, Dustin (Stephanie) Harrison, Sturgis, and many nieces and nephews.

Shana will be deeply missed by all, including her 5 very special Chihuahuas, Oscar, Chico, Bella, Vivien, and Carlos.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman and her grandparents.

Visitation will be from noon to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Sturgis.
