Shane was born June 22, 1971, in Pierre, South Dakota, to Douglas C Anderson and Wanda J (Styles) Anderson. Shane was raised and attended school in Murdo, SD, until the summer of 1982 when the family relocated to Sturgis, SD.

When Shane was younger not much would keep him in one place, always on the go making friends with just about anyone, with his sense of humor and bigger-than-life personality. Biking, skiing, cliff-diving -- any activity for the thrill. Shane enjoyed camping and fishing and could drop a line wherever. The more the merrier, he'd be the cook and DJ, keeping everyone entertained.

Shane made his home in Sturgis, SD, with partner, Heather McKee, and would raise three boys.  Taking after his father, he lived simply and appreciated the value of vintage, tested tools, and other wares.

Working as a mechanic for many years, Shane could fix about anything and did. Always willing to share his wrenching talents, he'd help anyone and be there in a moment's notice.  He also put his liking and talent of cooking to working as a chef.

Shane was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Anderson and Wanda (Styles) Anderson.

He is survived by his brother, Jerrett with Debra (Williams) Anderson in Spearfish, SD, and sister, Jodie E. Taylor in Sturgis, SD. His sons are Magnus, Haakon, and Archer Anderson, all of Sturgis. Nephews - Erik, Kyle and Nathan.
