Sharon Lynn Allison was born September 20, 1959, in Sturgis, SD, to Gordon Wayne and Mary Maxine (Chambers) Hanzlik. Her family moved to Prescott, AZ, while still a child, where she liked to chase lizards and horny toads. The family moved back to Sturgis when Sharon was ten years old. She graduated in the top five of her class from Sturgis High School in 1977. She worked as a waitress at Vern's Steakhouse, where she met David Allison. They were married on October 8, 1977, in Rapid City and from this union three children were born

Sharon then joined the family newspaper business and was employed by Allison Publishing. Well versed in every aspect of the paper, through her dedication and passion, she worked her way up to controller. In 2001, she left her full-time position to focus on her health and worked part-time for a local bookkeeper. Sharon was always busy dreaming up her next craft project. She moved to North Carolina and later to Minnesota before returning to Sturgis. She lived her life for her children. Sharon, with her captivating beautiful blue eyes, was loved by her family and admired by all who knew her.

Sharon departed this life Wednesday, September 12, 2012, after a long battle with illness.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Christopher (Tracy) Allison, Manassas Park, VA; daughter, Amie (Shawn Hise) Allison, Brooklyn Park, MN; father, Gordon Hanzlik, Rapid City; brother, Darwin Hanzlik, Winemucca, NV; twin sister, Cheryl Schutterle, Sturgis; and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her infant son, Joshua; and her former husband, David.
