Sharon was born November 17, 1953, to Allen and Ellen (Palmer) Talley in Faith, SD. She lived in Opal, SD, as a child and attended grade school in Opal. She especially enjoyed Rally Days with her many cousins and school friends. Sharon graduated from Sturgis High School in 1972.
Sharon married Pat Priest and two daughters were born to this union, Regan and Danielle. They lived in Lemmon where she worked for an optometrist. She and Pat owned a steak house and theatre. She enjoyed fishing and boating at Shadehill.
After Sharon moved to Rapid City, she worked at Who's Hobby House where she used her creative and artistic talents. She later moved to Worland, WY. Sharon worked construction and roofing jobs. She liked to paint and draw.
Sharon was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Due to this disabling disease, she spent her remaining years in various nursing homes. Sharon moved to Sturgis Regional Senior Care in February 2016, to be closer to family. She enjoyed playing Bingo and her birthday parties requesting "carrot cake."
Sharon Elaine (Talley) Priest, 65, Sturgis, died Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House.
She is survived by two daughters, Regan (Levi) Kling, Morristown, SD, and Danielle Priest, Denver, CO; two sisters, Reena (Dave) Veit, Buffalo, WY, and Nancy (Lynn) Miller, Mud Butte, SD; sister-in-law, Jan (Kusser) Talley; three grandchildren, Keegan Kling, Coy Kling, and Kale Kling; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rolis Talley.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Talley officiating. Inurnment will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.
