Sheldon Badger, 61, passed away October 28.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, at the National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD. A luncheon will follow at the Holiday Inn Express Convention Center in Sturgis.

Sheldon was born July 16, 1955. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad. He enjoyed slots and music in Deadwood, especially listening to Marty play. He loved having his grandkids around him.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Badger; sisters: Sylvia (Roger) Clark of Absarokee, MT; Patsy Archer of Belton, MO; and Nora (Gale) Schlegel of Highmore, SD; half sister Michelle (Tyler) Hartley of Afognak Island, AK; step-siblings: Kirbi (Dale) Swanson, Post Falls, ID; Darby (Kenda) Nutter, Fort Pierre, SD; Eddie (Heather) Nutter, Palmer, AK; Dale (Rick) Mollard, Beaufort, SC; and Renee O'Dea, Rapid City, SD; stepmother Mary Archer, Sterling, AK; daughters Christy, Heather, Amanda and Amber; step children Mark, Marty and Marla; his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyle Badger, mother Marie Badger, two older half brothers, Clyde and Larry; and a nephew, JR Schlegel.
