Sherrol B. Christensen, 58, Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the Whitewood Presbyterian Church with Pastor Steve Agan.

Sherrol was born September 2, 1953, in Rapid City, SD, to Everett and Evelyn (Talley) Schuelke. She attended St. Martin's Academy and Sturgis High School.

She married Steve Christensen and to this union two daughters were born.

In her professional career, she opened the Slendersize aerobic studio in Sturgis, worked as a Real Estate Agent, in addition to owning and operating The Showerhouse on Lazelle Street, where for the last 20 years, Sherrol opened her arms to the biker community like family.

She will be remembered for her laugh, her love of the small things, playing golf and four-wheeling with family and friends, not to mention her passion for a good DIY project.

Survivors include her daughters, Danielle (Robert) Glenn, Whitewood, and Kelly (Matt) Millette, Portland, OR; brothers, Roger Schuelke, Sturgis, and Du Wayne Schuelke, Sioux Falls; sisters, Carolyn (Wayne) Hess, Boulder Canyon, Colleen (Bob) Klug, Atascocita, TX, and Elaine Butler, Whitewood.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
