Obituary

Shirley was born April 7, 1932 to Max and Nora Meyer in Sturgis, South Dakota. She was raised and attended school there. On November. 7, 1948, she married Elvie L Mullins. To this union two children were born, Patricia and Terry.

The couple traveled extensively – due to his military service and then his employment service. Shirley worked several different jobs during her marriage. She worked 20 years in the electronic field, in several different hospitals.  Completing the home health course at the Newcastle Hospital. Shirley worked at an assisted living company as an administrator in Missouri. She and her husband opened the Grandma's Place Restaurant in Osage, Wyoming. Upon losing their lease she was hired as a cook at the State Veteran's Home in Hot Springs, SD. Shirley worked there for three years, and then transferred to the prison in Springfield, SD., retiring from there. She and her husband were moved by their grandchildren to Ozark, MO., where her husband passed away. She later returned to Upton, WY.

She is survived by her son, Terry and his wife; six grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, son in law, two brothers, and six sisters.

She will be inurned at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with her husband.
