IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley Eugene
Edwards
September 9, 1939 – February 2, 2019
Stanley Eugene Edwards was born September 9, 1939, in Phoenix, AZ. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years. Around the time he retired from the Air Force, Stan met his wife, Marion, and they were married on June 8, 1979.
Stan will long be remembered by those who knew and loved him. He worked hard to provide for his family, willingly doing stressful and challenging jobs in order to put food on the table. In his spare time, he had a fondness for restoring classic cars and attending and participating in car shows. Some of his other hobbies included woodworking, photography, and camping and fishing. He was a man who loved life and always had a good story to share.
In recent years, he especially found comfort in his faith in God and in what he had learned from the Bible.
Stan, 79, Rapid City, died February 2, 2019, at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade, SD.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; five children, Brian, Becky, Nathan, Amanda, and Priscilla; as well as many grandchildren and other relatives.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1111 Oriole Drive, Rapid City.
