Stephanie Ann Barry, cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1985, in Sturgis, South Dakota. She was the beloved daughter of Steve Barry and Christy Barry.

Stephanie spent much of her life facing challenges with her health, but she never stopped fighting. She fought hard, especially for her three boys, Peter, Cayden, and Noah. They were her greatest love and the reason she kept pushing forward, even thru the hardest days. Her love for her children was deep, fierce, and unconditional.

Stephanie's determination to keep fighting for her children reflected the same devotion her own mother had always shown her. Just as Stephanie fought so hard to stay for her boys, her mom fought alongside her, never giving up on her daughter.

Stephanie was known for her extraordinary gift-giving, always carefully selecting presents that brought joy and warmth to those she loved. A great example of this was a small tradition she shared with her dad. Every time Stephanie was in the hospital, her dad would sneak in peanut M&M’s for her. The day after Stephanie passed away, he received a bag of peanut M&M’s in the mail from her as a gift. It was such a Stephanie thing to do—thinking of someone else and finding a way to make them smile, even while she was going through so much herself. Her thoughtful nature extended far beyond gifts; she had a way of making the people she loved feel remembered and cared for.

She was a devoted aunt who cherished the time she spent with her nieces and nephew. Her family held a special place in her heart, and the memories she created with them will be treasured always.

Stephanie really loved a good scary movie, and Halloween season couldn’t come soon enough for her. She enjoyed the fun, the spooky atmosphere, and everything that made Halloween special. It was one of those little things that brought her genuine happiness.

Stephanie’s passing leaves a tremendous emptiness for everyone who loved her. Although her life was taken far too soon, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her boys, her family, and the many people whose lives she touched.

Her greatest legacy will always be the love she had for her children. Peter, Cayden, and Noah will carry that love with them throughout their lives, along with the memories of a mother who fought so hard to stay by their side.

Stephanie will be remembered for her strength, her thoughtfulness, her love of family, her generous heart, and all the little things that made her uniquely Stephanie.

When a butterfly appears or something pink catches our eye, we will think of Stephanie. We will remember her fight, her love, and the beautiful place she will always hold in our hearts.

May she finally rest peacefully, knowing how deeply she was loved and how much she will be missed.

Stephanie is survived by her three beloved sons, Peter, Cayden, and Noah; her parents, Steve Barry (Mary Kay) and Christy Barry; her siblings, Lindsey (Andy), Ashley, and Dustin; her nieces, Raven, Abby and Aurora; a nephew, Carter, whom she cherished dearly; and many extended family members and friends who loved her and will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Vivian, Gerrie and Arlette; her aunt, Sandra; and Grandpa Dale

In lieu of flowers, a memorial account for her children has been set up at Pioneer Bank & Trust.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.
