Obituary
Steven Michael Crandall, 63, passed at Rapids Regional Hospice House, Rapids City, SD, May 16, 2018 after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
Steven was born July 17, 1954, to Irene (Roskos) and Frank Crandall in Grand Rapids, MN. He graduated from GRHS 1972, and the vocational welding program at Itasca Community College. He is proceeded in death by his parents, and 2 nieces, Julie Crandall and Keli Tix. He is survived by his wife, Marinka (Ziolkowski) Crandall, 5 daughters Lori King (Tom), Denea Boyle (Ricky), Shawna Powless (Joel), Amber Crandall (Eric Buchholz) and Caitlin Crandall, siblings, Pearl Tinquist (Jon), Jeanne Tix (Bill), Marlene Eichorn (Jerry) and Eugene Crandall (Debra); 6 grandchildren, Benjamin, Kannon, Natalie, Jenny, Bobby and Luke, and extended family.
There will be a memorial service at Toivo's Restaurant in Grand Rapids, MN on Saturday, May 26 at 11 a.m., where a light lunch will be served. In lieu of flowers a donation to The Community Action Team, Box 288, Custer, SD 57730 or a charity of your choice. Steven was a volunteer with this organization which feeds, clothes and provides furniture, dishes, and other things to those in need in their county. He delivered furniture and helped distribute food.
