Steven Mark Delzer, 52, Whitewood, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 13, 2009, at his home in Whitewood.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September, 17, 2009, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor Kyle Reinhiller officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Lawn Cemetery near Lead.

Steven was born November 29, 1956, at Deadwood, SD, to Christ and Inez (Weisser) Delzer. At the age of 6, he moved to Redfield, SD, where he attended the state training school until the age of 13. He moved back to Spearfish where he attended the Northern Hills Training Center. In 1994, he moved to Whitewood to live with family.

Steven enjoyed the Flintstones, fishing, camping, and country western music.

Survivors include his brother, Wayne (Judy) Delzer, Spearfish; two sisters, Patricia (Marvin) Kallenberger, Whitewood, and Barbara (Robert) Schallenkamp, Deadwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A memorial has been established to the Northern Hills Training Center in Spearfish.
