Susan Reiffenberger passed away November 12, 2013 in Rochester, MN.

Susan was born July 15, 1953 to Harry and Evelyn Volek. Susan met John in 1979 and she knew they were meant for each other. They were married on June 6, 1981 in Rapid City, SD. Susan had two wonderful children, Matt and Sara. She loved attending all of their school and sports activities. Susan worked as a nurse at the Fort Meade VAMC for more than 30 years. She loved being a nurse and thoroughly enjoyed caring for people. She was a very kind and compassionate person. Susan also loved to read, travel and doing crafts and other home projects. What she loved doing the most though was spending time with her family and grandson and she could not wait until she had more grandchildren to spoil. She will always be watching over her family and guarding them.

Susan is survived by her husband, John Reiffenberger, Sturgis; her son, Matt Reiffenberger (Saba Awan), Rapid City; her daughter, Sara Studer (Ron) and grandson, Max, Summerset; her sister, Alice Wright (Randy), Pierre; and brothers, Larry Volek (Beverly), Olathe, KS, and Mike Volek (Dixie), Highmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Susan is preceded in death by her father, Harry Volek; stepfather, William Albrecht; and mother, Evelyn Albrecht.

Visitation will be Sunday evening, November 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis with Father Arnold Kari officiating.

A memorial has been established.
