Obituary

Tamara Ann (Streeter) Barker was born on January 28, 1968, to Edward Streeter and Kathleen (Streeter) Murray at St. Joseph Hospital in Deadwood, SD. Through her young life she lived in Whitewood, Belle Fourche, Spearfish, Rapid City, Sioux Falls and Sturgis, SD. She attended school in Sioux Falls, Rapid City, and Sturgis. Tami married Roger Barker on November 19, 1983. From this union came 5 girls. She raised her daughters in Sturgis, SD, spanning 36 years.
Tami loved hiking, rock hunting, and drawing with her family. She enjoyed time in the kitchen, often teaching her daughters all of her tricks. At the age of 15, she started a cleaning business, which her and her husband expanded to include many businesses and residents in the Sturgis area for over 30 years. Growing up, life wasn't always easy. Even though Tami went through some tough times, she diligently and selflessly provided a life of comfort for her daughters. Her sense of humor and her caring spirit echoes throughout the lives of those who crossed her path and she will be missed.
