Tami was born November 13, 1957, in Rapid City to George and Charlotte (Engle) Carter. She was a simple and sentimental person. Tami loved springtime, listening to the birds sing, playing jokes on family, and having family play jokes on her. She was a wonderful listener, never judging and never complaining. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Tamara "Tami" Carter Nacey, 60, Sturgis, died Friday, March 23, 2018, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Tami is survived by her children, Nicole Nacey, Kerri Nacey, and Adrienne Nacey; and her grandchildren, Drew Nelson, Kennedi Nacey, Ireland Nacey, Skyler Bryant, Jace Johnson, and Gavin Nacey; mother, Charlotte Carter, two sisters; Deborah Snook, and Sharla Price.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Carter; and many special friends throughout the years.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Sturgis Veteran's Club, 868 Main Street in Sturgis.
