On Monday, March 7 ^th , 2022, Tanner Bruce, of Rapid City, SD, a loving son, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 21.

Tanner had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He always looked forward to the trips down to "The Ranch" for deer hunting or over to Orient for bird hunting and loved his summer fishing trips in Florida.  If he was not hiding in a blind with his bird dog, Sherlock, the two were probably out on some mishap adventure.  The pair could often be found out at the lake for a swim or a day of ice fishing. Tanner was a fun-loving easy-going guy that could put a smile on your face and will be remembered as a loyal friend and son that loved all to the end.

Tanner is survived by his parents, Casey (Derek) Pond, and Tom Voorhis; his brother, Hunter; his sister, Fern; maternal grandparents, Cindy Lynn, of Milton, FL, and Jerry Bruce, of Piedmont; his paternal grandparents, Cheryl Voorhis, of Sturgis, Marita Pond, and Billy Brooks, of Sisseton, and Cheryl (Thurston) Pond of Custer; and aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved dog, Sherlock.

Tanner was preceded in death by his uncle, Jeffery Pond; grandfather, Tom Voorhis; and Reggie Lynn.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 10060 Foothill Dr., Piedmont, SD.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Family requests no flowers.
