Tarrie was born Valentine's day, 1960, to James and Merne (Jones) Gibson. She traveled as a child with her Air Force family, extensively, before landing in Lingle, WY, after her father retired.

She always loved a good time with her family and friends. After retiring in 2010, she and her husband, Monte, traveled the United States, RVing. After diagnosis in the fall of 2015, they settled in Sturgis.

Tarrie Jay Goddard, 57, Sturgis, SD, died Thursday, January 4, 2018, at her home in Sturgis.

She leaves behind her husband, Monte; daughter, Kristie Sierra; son, E.J. (Christina) Snyder; and grandchildren, Larissa Mayhew, Rylea Joyce, and TJ Snyder. Survivors also include her mother, Merne Gibson; brothers, Jack (Deb) Gibson, Jim Gibson, and Jerry (Beth) Gibson; sister, Tracy (Doug) Patrick; Sturgis family in-laws, Gerie Ericson, Lavina Goddard, Tom (Betty) Goddard; mother-in-law, Anna Goddard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Gibson; father-in-law, Forrest Goddard; brothers-in-law, Marshall Goddard and Donald Ericson; and sister-in-law, Annette Gibson.

A memorial may be made to the ALS Foundation on her behalf.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Burial will be at a later date.
