Teddy Ann Outka, 61, Sturgis, was called home to be with her soulmate and loving husband on July 2, 2018.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the LifeSpring Wesleyan Church in Sturgis. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Teddy Ann was born December 31, 1956, to Bob and Reva (Shoop) Finn. Teddy Ann grew up and went to school in Sturgis and Lead-Deadwood area before she met and married Ronnie Varns on October 14, 1972. Together, they had three wonderful children; Sheila, Jesse, and Shannon.

Teddy Ann was a hard-working, loving mama that would do anything for her children and for the children who like to call her their "second mom."

Teddy Ann married Thomas Outka on November 28, 1986. With this marriage, they cared for and loved five children and had 13 grandchildren.

Teddy Ann was a collector of roosters. She loved crafts and enjoyed the outdoors with camping, fishing, going on motorcycle rides, and spending time with her family and friends. You could never find a greater sister bond than you could between Teddy Ann, Carrie, and Delores.

Everyone that knew Teddy Ann knew how strong willed and stubborn she was. With the look on her face, you would always know what she was thinking without her even saying a word.

Teddy Ann will always be remembered as the most courageous, brave, and strongest woman around and gave everything she had to fight to be around for as long as she could, for her family. Teddy Ann Outka did not lose to cancer or her health issues. Instead, she gained a new adventure and now shares it with her Tommy.

Teddy Ann's last place of employment was with the Sturgis Regional Hospital where she did housekeeping for 14 years.

Teddy Ann is survived by her two daughters, Sheila (Travis) Huck, Sturgis, and Shannon (Chase Arneson) Royer, Elm Springs; son, Jesse (Layla) Varns, Rapid City; two step-daughters, Lisa (Reid) Outka-Perkins and April Keller; grandchildren, Tevin and Reese Huck, Dylan, Coby, and Sami Varns, Brody and Logan Royer, Cassius Arneson, Timothy and Madison Walker, Zachary and Shelby Keller; two sisters, Delores (Walt) Terry and Carrie (Robert) Steeves; two nephews, Randy (Kris) Schwartz and Clark (Tanya) Steeves; and niece, Misty (Justin) Papenfuss.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; granddaughter, MacKenna Varns; and two nephews, Rodney Schwartz and Jimmy Steeves.
