Teresa Juelda Halverson was born March 20, 1963 in Belle Fourche, SD, to parents Mervin Harold and Linda Jo (Brewer) Viken. Teresa grew up on a dairy and sheep farm near Newell, SD. She was a member of FFA and High School Rodeo, and graduated from Newell High School in 1981.

She married Robert M. Halverson July 7, 1984. They had three children, Samantha Lynn Halverson (January 14, 1985), Tyler Alfred Halverson (June 12, 1991), and Cady Elizabeth Halverson (September 9, 1993).

Teresa, 52, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Robert M Halverson; her three children, Samantha Lynn Halverson, Tyler Alfred Halverson (Jessica Lynn), and Cady Elizabeth Halverson; and one sister, Annette Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mervin Harold and Linda Jo (Brewer) Viken; and grandparents, Julius Hamilton and Elaine (Long) Viken, and Fred and Juelda Brewer.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. January 21, 2016, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD. Inurnment will be at Hope Cemetery, Newell, SD.
