Terri Wilson-Roden was born August 18, 1980, in Spearfish, SD, to Arthur and Bonnie (Kopecky) Wilson, the youngest of 5 children.

Terri enjoyed helping others no matter what time of day. She was always a protector and caregiver to whoever was in need.  She loved riding her motorcycle "Purple Haze" all over the hills, no matter the weather.  She was always proving she could do anything a man could do, but better! Her childhood years were spent with her "Double Trouble" lifelong friend Trudy taking care of her rabbits. She helped with the family's bait business by "cupping worms" and making deliveries throughout the hills area.

After her family moved to Sturgis, Terri married William "Bill" Roden September 23, 2006. To this union, Joshua, TanLynn, and Justice joined Bill's children, Billy, Poetry and Alicia. Everyone who knew Terri knows she was proud of graduating Drug Court and after completion; she assisted others in accomplishing that goal for themselves. She also received an Honorary Scholarship and attended Cosmetology School.

After a tragic fire and the loss of the Fabulous Five, which included her 2 daughters, TanLynn and Justice, Terri strived to live life to the fullest keeping the children's memories alive. Whatever job she had whether it involved bait and tackle business, trains, mechanic work, painting, janitorial, tearing down barns, taking care of the elderly, or her last place of employment, Fort Meade V.A, she enjoyed the job and the people she worked with.

We will all miss the hugs, kisses, "Talk to Terri", "Terri can you fix this", and all of her crazy moments and memories.

Terri Lynn Wilson-Roden, 42 of Sturgis died Wednesday, September 22, 2022, in Sturgis.

She is survived by her son, Joshua; daughter, Alicia; stepchildren, Billy and Poetry, Blake and Jordan, who she called her sons along with many others who called her mom; fiancé, Cory Myers; mother, Bonnie Wilson; sister, Tammy Halvorsen and children; brother, Ted (Jenny) Wilson and children; sister, Tracey Wilson and child; niece, Staysha Wilson; and her dog, Samson; along with many friends whom she cherished.

Terri was preceded in death by her daughters, TanLynn, and Justice; father, Arthur Wilson; brother, Troy Wilson; sons who called her mom, Billy, and Rhylin.

Visitation will be at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, Sturgis, SD, Friday, October 14, 2022, 4-6 p.m., with a prayer service to follow from 6-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, Sturgis, SD.
