Terry John Swanson, age 39, of Blackhawk, SD, formerly of the Milaca, Princeton, Onamia and Bock, MN, areas, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013. Terry was born November 5, 1973, in Milaca, MN the son of Lanney Swanson and Ruth Swanson-Burandt-Hughley.
Terry worked as a machinist since 1995, he was a hard worker and conscientious at his job. Terry was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for others. He loved to hunt and fish.
Terry was well liked in every community he lived in and had many friends. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and family and had a love for people, especially children.
Terry had an infectious laugh and could brighten any ones day without trying.
Terry is survived by his parents, Lanney (Marilyn) Swanson of Starbuck and Ruth (Dave) Hughley of Onamia; step-father, Ivan Burandt of Blackhawk, SD; brother, Travis Swanson of Bock; step-siblings, Tammy (Steve), Kristi (Gerald), Jerry (Sharon), Jeff, Josh and Jessica; grandparents, Mary Herchenhahn, Marcella Lang and Alvin and Flora Burandt; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Edna Swanson, William Herchenhahn and Millard Lang; and an aunt, Debbie Swanson.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton, MN with visitation held from 10AM -12 PM prior to the service on Saturday.
Pastor Terry Grzybowski will officiate and interment will be in Dalbo Baptist Cemetery.
