IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theodore Lee
Foskett
February 3, 1940 – March 15, 2017
Ted was born in Columbus, Ohio to Robert H. Foskett and Mildred Irene Raines on February 3, 1940. Ted's family moved to Detroit, MI, where he stayed until the age of 10, when he returned to Ohio in order to help his grandfather on the farm. Ted loved working on the farm and shared memories of it often.
He attended school in Pickerington, OH, until he was 17 and joined the US Air Force. Ted wanted to travel and see some of the world but unfortunately he was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA, and remained there serving 8 years with the Air Force and 16 years Civil Service. He worked in Aircraft Structural Repair most of these years. He later went on to work for B&H Heating in Rapid City. This was a job that Ted loved and enjoyed going to each day.
Ted enjoyed riding motorcycles and rode in 49 states with Alaska being the exception. He was able to ride the entire parameter of the United States. It was on this trip that he ventured into Sturgis for the Annual Motorcycle Rally. He fell in love with the Black Hills and in 1990 he moved to Piedmont. In 1996, he met his wife, Betty, and they were married in 2001. They remained in the Black Hills until 2011, when they decided to move to New Mexico for the warmer weather. Ted stayed busy remodeling their home from the ground up! He was always busy, never wasting any time. He was a true workaholic. He loved the desert and the warm weather. He would enjoy a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon while watching the sunset each night.
He had been working on his bucket list the last few years. He did get to Hawaii and rented a Harley and rode the Big Island. He did a hot air balloon ride over Albuquerque, and he got his Alaskan Cruise as well.
Ted was truly a very loving, caring and giving man, always doing whatever he could to help others. Ted will be missed dearly by all. He touched so many lives in his 77 years.
