Theresa Marie Otto, 55, of Spearfish, died Monday, November 28, 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be from noon until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor David Baer officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain Lawn Cemetery near Lead.

Theresa was born July 8, 1956, at Deadwood, SD, to Gilbert and Alice (O'Dell) Ulmer. She was raised in Lead where she attended school.

She married Robert Otto at Lead on July 7, 1979.

Theresa was a mother and homemaker. The couple lived in Lead and Spearfish but moved to Nevada in 1995 and returned to Spearfish in 1997. Theresa has worked as a cashier in several casinos in Deadwood. She was last employed at Tin Lizzies.

Theresa enjoyed creating stained glass art. She was an animal lover and provided a home to multiple dogs and cats. She especially loved her job as a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Otto, Spearfish; three daughters, Cheryl Otto, Seattle, WA, Leah Otto-Koshewer, Mesa, AZ, and Misty Weaver, Spearfish, SD; one brother, Joe (Becky) Ulmer, Longmont, CO; one sister, Martha French, Gillette, WY; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Don French.

A memorial has been established as the Terry Otto Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo.
