Obituary

Thomas H. Freeman, 59, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, April 22, 2022, surrounded by close family.

Tom was born in 1962 to Joe and Maurleen Freeman. He grew up playing baseball and was known for his mean fastball. He acquired many lifelong friends during his time on the field.

In high school, Tom married Connie Longden and had two boys, Chuck and Scott Freeman. In July 1995, Tom married the love of his life Lisa Valandra and took on the duty of five more boys. He did his best to raise all seven of them into respectable young men.

Tom started working at a young age helping his grandfather with anything he could. After a few years working concrete with Bill Larsen in Green River, WY, he moved home to take up his calling in the family business at Freeman's Electric Service and later at Conrad's Big "C" Electric. For the last 20 years, Tom travelled across the globe working for multiple corporate construction companies as a Quality Assurance Expert. He was hard working, loyal, dedicated, passionate, professional, thorough, and committed to excellence in everything he did.

Tom loved the Black Hills, hunting from the family cabin for years. Later in life he enjoyed riding his Harley with friends, watching football with his son and grandson, and more than anything, playing with his dogs!

Tom is survived by his two sons, Chuck (Jolene) Freeman and Scott (Shana) Freeman; five stepsons, Tyler (Katie) Valandra, Jay Valandra, Jamie (Dawn) Valandra, Dusty Valandra, and Cris (Sarah) Valandra; 21 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Greg Flanagan; and his two dogs, Samson and Ruby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Freeman; parents, Joe and Maurleen Freeman; and brother, Don Freeman.
