Vera Jean Maynard, 92, Whitewood, S.D passed away peacefully at home Friday, January 12, 2024
Jean was born to Merle and Lena (Gergen) Rosser in Denver Co. on August 11, 1931. She grew up in Central City S.D. She graduated from Deadwood high school in 1949. Married Estelle Maynard on January 24,1953 in Deadwood S.D. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lead.
Jean was a woman of good character and strong ethics.
Jean is survived by her son; Gary (Susan) Maynard Murfreesboro, TN, son; Glenn (Mary Anne) Maynard, Whitewood, S.D, grandchildren; Christopher (Michele) Maynard Las Vegas, NV, Bradley Maynard, Santa Crus, Ca, Katrina Maynard, Las Vegas, NV, Amanda Maynard, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Laurie Maynard, Scottsdale, AZ, David Maynard, Las Vegas, NV, great grandchildren; Zoey, Riley, and Ryan Maynard, Las Vegas, NV, and Grace Maynard, Coeur d'Alene, ID.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; Merle and Lena Rosser, sister; Violet Kene, son; Gregg Maynard, and grandson; Jamie Maynard.
