Vera Irene Styles, 75, passed away July 20, 2018 at her home outside of Whitewood.

She was born November 15, 1942 to Art and Alice (Morgan) Peters in Phillip, SD.

Vera married Paul Styles on November 15, 1957, her 15th birthday, in Pierre, SD.  To this union five children were born.

She leaves behind her sons, Leslie Styles, Whitewood, Steve Styles, Whitewood, and Scott Styles, Rapid City; daughters, Paula Cottrill, Box Elder, and Karen Thomas, Sturgis; brother, Gene; sisters, Ruby, Mary, Fern, and Rosie; grandchildren, Shane Styles, Leslie Styles, Devin Styles, Briana Herrlein, Steven Styles, Staci Lee, Kelly Lee, Shane Lee, Richard Cottrill, Dustin Lettau, and Brandon Lettau; and several great grandchildren.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Styles; parents, Art and Alice Peters; brother, Glen Peters; and grandson, Jason Cottrill.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Black Hills Funeral Home in Sturgis. Burial will take place at a later date.
