Violet Albertson passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care at the age of 93.

Violet was born February 20, 1920, near Castle Rock, SD.

She is survived by her children, Marianna (Joe) Hebron of Bonne Terre, MO, and Ron (Fran) Albertson of Rapid City; sister, Jeannette (Tom) Jackson of Sturgis; two sister-in-laws, Elsie Albertson, OR, and Margaret Seieroe, CA; five grandchildren, Tim, Tammy, Mark, Jennifer, and Wendy; eleven great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Paulette and Annie; a special nephew, Kevin; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon; parents; and brothers, Paul and Eloi.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Father Arnold Kari officiating. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Rapid City. Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
