Virginia Lucille Kienzle, 70, Sturgis, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be Monday, December 1, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor Willard Olsen officiating. Burial follows at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Virginia was born June 18, 1938 at Clairmont, WY, to Henry and Louise (Daniels) Felde. She moved to Lolo, MT, as a child, and later to Missoula where she grew up.
Virginia married Wilbert Kienzle at Missoula, MT, on May 21, 1955. The couple moved to Mobridge, SD, for a short time before returning to Missoula. In 1961 they moved to Sturgis where Virginia worked as a cook in local cafes. She also worked at the Sturgis Community Hospital as an aide.
Virginia loved to bowl and instructed youth bowlers three days a week for several years. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her husband Wilbert, Sturgis; two sons, Gene (Lillian) Kienzle, Rapid City, Duane (Cheryl) Kienzle, Rapid City; two daughters, Peg (Dennis) Uttecht, Whitewood, Joyce Myers, Rapid City; three brothers, Richard Felde, Greeley, CO, Roy Felde, San Diego, CA, Bill (Thelma) Felde, Missoula, MT; one sister, Margaret Dawson, Lolo, MT; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
