ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Virginia Lee Rogers passed from this world on April 17, 2012.

As a daughter of a career Army officer, CWO Emmett and Lucy Dyer, and later as an Air Force wife, Virginia lived in several foreign countries and many military bases in America. She made friends everywhere she went. She instilled a love of reading, education, travel and adventure in her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Rogers, and her son, Don Lawrence.

She is survived by her sister, Dawn Solmonson and her husband, Larry; her children, Ken and his partner Karen Carroll, Pat and his wife, Julie, Steve and his wife, Ann, Laura Kelmar and her husband, Dan; and her grandchildren, Chris and his wife, Kristie, Joshua, Nate, Adam, Mark, Jack, Ben, Beka, Sharon and Emily.

Services will be April 27, 2012, at Black Hills National Cemetery in South Dakota.
