Obituary

Wallace R. Mollman was born November 19, 1931, in McIntosh, SD, to Dorus and Margaret Mollman. He was the eldest of 13 children raised on a farm in Watauga, SD. Wally first saw his future wife, Roberta Morman, while attending Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND. Wally's sisters invited Roberta home one weekend which is when they first met. Wally married Roberta on June 3, 1953. They lived near Watauga until 1960 when they moved to Deadwood, SD.

Although Wally was a highly respected mechanic, he never felt like he worked a day in his life as he often said his job was his hobby. But more importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many people. He had a great sense of humor and always loved spending time with his family. Everyone he met was touched by his selflessness and humility.

Wally, 85, Deadwood, died on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at home surrounded by family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Roberta; daughters, Ramona (Gregory) Uhrig, Wheatland, WY, Rebecca (Daniel) Ryan, Collingdale, PA, Rosanna (Larry) Sorenson, Loveland, CO, and Renita Mollman, Fullerton, CA; sons, Jeffrey (Susan) Mollman, Lead, Patrick (Rhonda) Mollman, Deadwood, and Michael (Jenny) Mollman, Gilbert, AZ; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers; 4 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;, and a large extended family.
