Obituary

Wanda was born in Murdo, South Dakota, May 7, 1943 to Archie Styles and Elizabeth (Luthern) Styles. Growing up Wanda spent her youth in Draper, SD, along with many siblings. Active in school with cheer and clubs, graduating from Draper high school in 1962. Upon completion of high school Wanda would move to Ft. Pierre, where she worked in nursing until her marriage to Douglas C. Anderson in 1965. Wanda and Doug would spend their first years of marriage in Minnesota where she was a military wife and soon to be mother. After military life, Wanda and Doug would make Murdo, SD, their home, raising their three children. In the summer of 1982, the family would make their home in Sturgis, SD, where Wanda was in housekeeping at the hospital for many years. Upon retirement life took on several changes and Wanda would make her final home at Sturgis senior living.

Wanda loved to share laughs and time with family and friends. Her grandchildren especially brought her so much joy. Didn't matter the activity she would insist on being included as not to miss a beat or as she would say, "keep me in the loop so I know what's going on".

She would be in her element playing a game of cards or on the back of the motorcycle taking a trip around the hills. As long as it included her loved ones, of which there were many.

Wanda always took pride in home and yard and loved being outdoors; chasing cats away from the birds or planting plentiful gardens. She was especially excited when one of us would take an interest in sharing her canning trade or a day baking dozens of cookies.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas C Anderson; parents, Archie and Elizabeth; siblings, Judith, Lowell, Donald, Robert, Shirley, Cevilla, Carole, and Robin. Her son, Shane C. Anderson would follow her in death less than a month later.

Survived by brother, Jackie Styles of Mitchell, SD, and sister Debbie (Styles) Curtis Rapid City, SD. Her children Jerrett D. Anderson Spearfish, SD, and Jodie E. (Anderson) Taylor Sturgis, SD. Grandchildren Erik, Kyle, Nathan, Magnus, Haakon, Archer and three great grandchildren.
