Obituary

Wanda Mae Schirmer, 87, passed away peacefully in her home on November 3, 2022.

Wanda Mae Widick was born on March 23, 1935, to Kennith and Ruth (DeWitt) Widick. She had 2 brothers, Charles, and Harold Widick. Wanda was raised on two ranches, one in Buffalo, WY, and one in Douglas, WY, she soon met and married, Jimmey Hinckley, out of this marriage they had four children: Jimjay, Steve, Kenny, and Debra. Being raised in Wyoming, she a had a passion for rodeo, roping, and barrel racing, she also loved hunting and fishing and was good at it.

Wanda lost her husband in November of 1985. She was working for the highway department and soon after she met and married, Raymond Schirmer in August 7, 1986. Where she gained 5 stepchildren: Jack, Quint, Lisa, Becky, and Linda Schirmer. Wanda was a wonderful wife, mom, aunt, grandma, and friend. Through her life she did many things' gardening, fishing, hunting, truck driving, waitressing, and so many other thing's. But the most wonderful thing she did was raising her children, family was everything to her.

Wanda is survived by her children, Jimjay (Janet) Hinckley, Douglas, WY, Kenny (Londa) Hinckley, Douglas, WY, Debra (Ed) Henschel, Faith, SD; and daughter-in-law, Maggie Hinckley, Douglas, WY: step-children, Jack (Sheila) Schirmer, Kaycee, WY, Quint (Sherry) Schirmer, Trenton, ND, Lisa (Homer) Powell, Douglas, WY, Becky (Dan) Allbee, Payson, UT, and Linda (Steve) Bacot, Casper, WY; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and she even made it to great-great-grandma.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Kennith and Ruth (DeWitt) Widick, both brothers, Charles Widick, and Buzz Widick, son, Steve, husband's, Jimmey Hinckley, and Raymond Schirmer, grandson's, Klayton Robinson, Todd Schirmer, Baby Hinckley, Baby Nevarez.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Moose Lodge at 120 North 2 nd Street in Douglas, WY.
