IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wayne Forrest
Hull
August 31, 1934 – June 15, 2021
Wayne Forrest Hull passed away on June 15, 2021. He was born on August 31, 1934 in Margie, MN, the 5 th of 8 children born to William and Rena Hull. The family eventually settled in International Falls.
At age 15, he left home to work in the potato fields of North Dakota. At age 23, he joined the service and was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base, working as an electrician repairing planes.
In 1956, he married JoAnn Spencer. To their union, four children were born, Lori, Bryan, Lisa, and Brad.
After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Wayne worked many years as a jack-of-all-trades, as a heavy equipment operator in the Black Hills, welder, and mechanic. He loved coin collecting and fixing up cars.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Lori (Rick) Tetreault, Bryan (Candi) Hull, Lisa (Charles) Headley, and Brad (Manda) Hull; granddaughters, Melissa, Lacey, Marisa, Chelsea, Katelin, Emma, Minnie, and Zoe; grandsons, Blane, Shaun, Tanner, Mattias, and Joe; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Wayne requested there be no services. His family will witness the committal of his ashes at Black Hills National Cemetery and then get together over a picnic in the park to share memories and funny stories about the man they called Dad, Pops, and Gramps.
Wayne was such an animal lover, having a soft spot for dogs and the birds who visited his backyard every day for a buffet of bread crumbs. He would have liked it if you gave a dog an extra pat or fed the backyard birds.
