Wiley Orr, 55, of Newell, SD, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family on November 20, 2023. Wiley was a jack of all trades. From fixing cars to construction to cooking, he could do just about anything. He had a laugh that one can never forget and could often be found telling stories while enjoying a Budweiser in the Newell Bar. Wiley was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Wiley is survived by his loving fiancé, Melissa Brimmer, his son Kaelob (Stacey) Orr, his daughters Karissa Orr and Stevi Newman, his brothers Brian (Charlene) and Charlie Orr, his sisters Celo (Jerry) Dickey, Stacie (Mark) Kehn, and Ladonna Styles, and his grandchildren Kooper and Kaylee Orr. He was preceded in death by his father Sherman and mother Joyce Orr.

Wiley had a fulfilling career as a loader operator and gravel crusher operator. He worked at Newell Implement for Tom Deyoe for many years and held various other jobs before his early "retirement." He was known for his dedication and hard work and mischievous grin.

In his free time, Wiley enjoyed indulging in his hobbies. He was an avid golfer and dart thrower, a skilled pool player, and loved fishing, camping, and attending car shows. He enjoyed driving backroads and listening to old country music.

A celebration of Wiley's life will be held on Wednesday, November 29th, at 6:00 p. m. at the Newell Bar. So come raise a glass, share tales, and honor the irreplaceable spirit that he brought into our lives.
