William Charles Artus 85 of Johnson Siding passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Ft. Meade VA Hospital.

A memorial service will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Big Bend Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Robert Savot officiating.

Bill enlisted and served in the US Army as a medical
Technician, assigned to troop ships and crossed the Atlantic several times.

He owned and operated ONeill Photographic Studio in ONeill, NE and Heritage ONeill Studio in Rapid City, SD for many years until retiring in 1990. After retiring he worked at the State Game Lodge for six summers, and had been recently working for the Census Bureau as a field representative.

Survivors include his wife Eileen, son William D. Artus Anchorage, AK, daughters Ellen Braesch of Omaha, NE, Nancy Burch Mission Viejo, CA, step-children Jerald Zutz Sioux Falls, SD, Darin Zutz of Cypress, TX, sisters Hazel Giannetto of New York City, NY, Wilma Winnick of Great Neck, NY, and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Charles.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
