William "Bill" Sedly Hudson was born on July 3, 1929, in Sturgis to Paul and Mary Jane (Cope) Hudson. He joined the Army in 1951 and served honorably until his discharge in 1953. On February 13, 1954, he married Francine Jane Aijala.
Bill was a member of the Black Hills Fellowship in Piedmont. He and Francine had been members since the beginning of the church.
Bill, 84, Piedmont, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at his daughter's home in Piedmont.
Survivors include his five sons, Dave (Colleen) Hudson, Piedmont, Greg (Sandy) Hudson, Piedmont, Billy Hudson, Sturgis, Wayne Hudson, Piedmont, and Brad (Carmen) Hudson, Sturgis; two daughters, Lenny Tollefson, Piedmont, and Mary Jane (Shannon) O'Grady, Sturgis; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Hudson, San Manuel, AZ, Adam Hudson, Spearfish, and Danny Hudson, Port Orchard, WA; two sisters, Judy Bauer, Spearfish, and Dorothy Bream, Sioux Falls; and special friends, Irene Winger, Jim Gillen, Nathan and Kathy Ennis, Darnell Gillman, Kurt Volvski, and Mike Jurisch.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, one grandson, two great-grandsons, and one son-in-law.
A memorial has been established to the Christian Worship Hour located at PO Box 2002, Aberdeen, SD 57402.
