Obituary

William "Bill" Ray Iverson, 72, Black Hawk, died Sunday, November 1, 2015, peacefully with his family by his side after a long battle with complications with ALS.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Private family inurnment services will be at a later date at Mt. View Cemetery in Rapid City.

Bill was born August 2, 1943, at home in Lead, SD, to Morgan and Louise (Schell) Iverson. He graduated from Lead High School in 1961.

On February 10, 1966, he married Betty Anderson. To this union, three children were born.

On May 8, 1999, Bill married his soul mate, Dianne Reasor, and became the most loving father to five more children. A feline was born from this marriage, "Kitty."

Dianne loved and cared for Bill faithfully until the day he lost his battle with ALS.

During his life of fun and frolic, Bill enjoyed camping, golf, weekends up in Deadwood, bowling, and spending time with his best friend, "wife" and family.

Bill was employed as a produce manager from 1970 until he was diagnosed in 2013. He was a dedicated hard working man, who became a well-known family face at Lynn's Dakotamart in Sturgis. He loved to play with those melons.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Dianne; eight children, Deb (Sam) Carr, Bryan (Lori) Iverson, Marci Flemming, Brad (Roni) Deschamp, Kari (Jason) Clites, Dawn (Mark) Prindle, Kalli (Chad) Reasor, and Tawni (Sean) Woods; 22 grandchildren, Emily, Brady, Daniel, Aloni, Meghan, Katie, Austin, Kaylee, Karissa, Jamie, Devon, Demi, Don, Giovanni, Tanner, Hunter, Taylor, Renea, Erin, Alayna, Macey, and Dalton; eight great-grandchildren, Zoey, Aaliyah, Auden, Riley, Mason, Bella, Elijah, and Emma; sister, Lois Iverson, Rapid City; brother, Eugene Iverson, Springtown, TX; his mother and father-in-law, William and Catherine Richards, Rapid City; sister-in-law, Sherry Beck, Rapid City; and brothers-in-law, Ronald (Dorothy) Richards, Hot Springs, SD, and Steven (Jinx) Richards, Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill will always be remembered for his fun loving personality. He was always smiling even until the end of his battle. His eyes could light up the room and he will be forever missed and forever in our hearts. Until we meet again.
