William Dedrich Parsons, 82, Sturgis, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his home in Sturgis.

Bill was born July 12, 1936, at Egan, SD, with a special twinkle in his eyes. He was raised by Claude and Anne Parsons in the eastern part of South Dakota. He joined the United States Air Force in 1955 and retired as Master Sergeant in 1975.

William met Maria Campos and was married July 12, 1958, in Safford, AZ. They raised, with love, four children, with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to follow.

On July 14, 2018, William joined his soulmate, Maria, in heaven. His twinkle will forever shine on through all that he loved.

He is survived by his children, Robert Parsons, Katherine Parsons, and Roseann Silvernagel; grandchildren, Angelina Parsons, Amanda Silvernagel, Nathan and Jessica Anderson, John Parsons, and Sabrina Rottenbucher; great-grandchildren, Charleigh Silvernagel and Lilly Goodine; brothers, Alan Parsons, Loren Parsons, and Kenneth Parsons; and Marlene Simmons, sister and dear friend.

William was preceded in death by his soulmate, Maria Parsons; his daughter, Patricia Anderson; brother, David Parsons, and parents, Anne and Claude Parsons.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at the old St. Martin's Chapel in Sturgis. A rosary will be offered at 10:30 a.m. at the Old St. Martin's Chapel. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the old St. Martin's Chapel.
