William Henry Pawlowski, 92, Park City, MT passed away July 18, 2025 at Department of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade, SD. At his request, a private family interment has occurred.

William Henry Pawlowski was born November 19, 1932 to William August and Ella (Kruse) Pawlowski. Bill had five brothers and three sisters. At 18 ½ years of age, Bill joined the U.S. Navy serving from July 30, 1951 to July 1955. He was a cook on the U.S.S. Salisbury Sound for four years. He married Virginia Ruth Symonds from Sturgis and they had six children; one daughter, Vicky and five sons, Mike, Pat, Tim, Scott and Clay. Bill became a ranch hand after the Navy from 1955 to 1973. He then moved to Sturgis, working as a housekeeper at Fort Meade from 1974 to 1992. He retired from the laundry department at Fort Meade in 1992. He lived his later years in Deadwood.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia; son, Scott; step-father, four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include daughter, Vicky; four sons, Mike, Pat, Tim and Clayton; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and a very special friend, Tilly.

A private graveside service has already taken place.
