William Vogel,90, passed away on November 7, 2023, in Canistota South Dakota.

Bill was the youngest of six children. He was born in Garfield Township, Fremont, Michigan on November 25,1932, to Cora (Lindhout) and William Vogel. His parents farmed 40 acres at the homestead. He was very handy around the farm and enjoyed farming. Bill graduated from Fremont High School and was drafted into the US Army during the Korean War and served time in the intelligence division in Germany. He returned home to attend Western Michigan University where he graduated with a business degree and teaching degree. He spent most of his life in around the state of Colorado and South Dakota. He worked as a teacher, a Greyhound driver, salesman, postal clerk and was involved in real estate.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Andy; sisters, Joan, Edith, Dena, and Ruth.

Bill will be laid to rest at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota with military honors. He was always proud of his military experience and felt most comfortable around veterans especially at a veteran's hospital where he had much care over his life.
