Obituary

Wray was born September 3, 1930, at New Hill, North Carolina to Lamon and Ada (Powell) Morrison. He entered the United States Air Force in the 50's and served his country honorably until his retirement after 20 years. He spent most of his 20 years at Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD. After his retirement, he went to work for the Federal Government in Civil Service. After retiring from civil service, he spent most of his time touring the United States in his motor home.

Wray Willard Morrison, 86, Rapid City, died Friday, August 25, 2017, at the VA Black Hills Health Care Center at Fort Meade, SD.

He has two sons, Dana and Mikie; and one daughter, Carlotta. He married Sandra Britton in December of 1982. He gained two stepdaughters Michele of Pennsylvania and Carol of Arizona, who considered him "Dad." He has six grandchildren, Daniel, Kiley, Mickie, B.J., Nicole, and Savannah; four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Addisyn, McKensie and Landon (born four days before Wray's death); one sister, Ruby in North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Hezzie, Herman, Sydney, Burton, and Burnette.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 4703 South Canyon Rd. in Rapid City, SD.
