Wynne A Cockrum 70 passed away on August 29, 2023 at her home in Lead, SD surrounded by her family. Wynne was born June 20, 1953 in Deadwood, SD to Vincent and Eunice (Lusk) Moilan. She graduated from Lead High School and attended Black Hills State College in Spearfish SD. She married David Cockrum on May 8, 1976. She worked for Homestake Mining Company in various offices. She was the treasurer and co-owner of Dumont Building Inc. as well as the bookkeeper at the church for many years. She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in all of their varied activities. She was active in nearly every church activity and loved to serve others.
Survivors include her husband, Dave and her children; Jessica (Dan) Janssen of Sturgis, SD; Jaron (Amy) Cockrum of Rapid City, SD; and Layne (Elizabeth) Cockrum of Gillette, WY; and five grandchildren, Natalie, Rachel and Blake Janssen and Vincent and Vivian Cockrum. Wynne is also survived by her sisters, Virginia (Ron) Eastmo, Kerry (Ross) Franklin, her twin Gail (Steve) Henderson; and her brother, Arne Moilan.
Wynne was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Eunice Moilan.
Memorials have been established to The Smile Train, Shepherd of the Hills Church, or Women of the Word.
