DeLos (#7) Henry Oldewurtel, 67, Piedmont, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at his residence.
DeLos was born in Slayton MN, on July 26, 1946, to Henry August and Ellamay (Thompson) Oldewurtel.
He Married Diana Hudson, August 19, 2000. He worked as a long haul trucker and later as foreman for Excavating Specialists Inc., retiring in 2003.
DeLos was a kind man who had a lot of love to give to his family and many friends. He enjoyed riding his 1972 shovelhead Harley and made it to 38 Sturgis Rallies, living life to the fullest and enjoying every minute. DeLos was a faithful member of Devine Shepherd Lutheran Church in Black Hawk, SD.
Survivors include his wife, Diana; seven children, daughter, Lisa (Michael), Selah WA; son, Chad, Yakima, WA; daughter, Crystal (Steve), Fallon, NV; daughter, Pauline "PJ," RuthtLn, MN; daughter, Laura (Chad), Rapid City; son, Joe, Dickenson, ND; and son, John (Sheila), Minneapolis, MN; sister, Carol Sandy, Sedalia MO; brother, Mylan Ray, Pipestone, MN; sixteen grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry August and Ellamay Oldewurtel; one sister, Anita Wiley; and one brother, Leo Oldewurtel.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at The Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church in Black Hawk with Pastor Randy Sturzenbecher officiating.
