Obituary

Dora E. Morrison was born to Carl and Evelyn (Driggers) Eddings in Lilesville TP, NC.
Dora married William "Bill" J. Rega on October 15, 1955 and became a military wife and mother to Cheryl L. Rega in 1957 and William "Joe" J. Rega, Jr. in 1958. They moved to various states and Okinawa and resided at Ellsworth AFB, SD and Box Elder, and divorced in 1973.
Dora met Fred L. Morrison and married September 5, 1975 in Box Elder, SD. Fred was in the military and stationed at Ellsworth AFB. To this union, Dora accepted Freddie L. Morrison, Jr. and Russell V. Morrison to our family.
Dora worked various jobs throughout her life, but raising her and Fred's children was her priority. Once her daughter, Cheryl, married and had Shannon in 1982, she became Shannon's caregiver so that Cheryl could work. When Shannon had her son, Ayden, in 2000, Dora became Ayden's caregiver so that Shannon could go to school for nursing and work. She had so much love and pride for Shannon and Ayden and supported them in every way.
As a family we loved to camp, fish, play cards/games, and have family meals. Dora loved going to First Gold in Deadwood, and they became part of her family. She was an awesome cook and always had leftovers for the family to "come and get some". Dora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
On March 27, 2020 was Dora's saddest day in life with the loss of Fred. She missed him terribly. They were happily married for 44 years and were inseparable.

We all love you Mom and will miss you and Dad every day. Comfort is knowing the two of you are together, taking that dance you've been longing for pain free while watching over us all. Until we meet again, all my love, your daughter, Cheryl.
