Homer "Dale" Couch, 88, of Spearfish, died November 11, 2021, at Monument Health Spearfish, SD, after an extended illness.

On July 26, 1933, Roy and Elenora Couch welcomed Dale to their family – the eighth of nine children. In August 1952, Dale enlisted in the navy, serving four years.

The love of his life, Evelyn Wierzbicki, was married to Dale in September of 1956. To this union four beautiful children were born; Lyn, Diane, Steve, and Lori. This past September Dale and Evelyn celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Dale was a lover of horses, and spent much of his time training them. Music was a voice for Dale and he found expression in singing, and playing guitar and piano. A special joy was attending Calvary Temple where he enjoyed playing and singing.  It was a point of pride for Dale to see several of his loved ones follow on to share his love of music.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elenora Couch; brothers, Kenneth, Harold, Craig, Gerald, and Neal; and sisters, Donna, Geraldine, and Betty.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Evelyn of Spearfish; Lyn Scott, Canton, SD; Diane (Steve) Cranford, Powell, WY; Steve (Gabriel) Couch, Aladdin, WY; Lori (Terry) Harris, Spearfish, SD; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The precious memories of his love in the lives of Dale's family will be a sustaining song for the rest of our days.
